Hi

I am a novice birder and even I can see the benefits of this app- thanks for making it available. I just had one question: I downloaded the app a couple of weeks ago and put it on my iphone. I have never had any crashes. Since then there have been 2 updates. The first one downloaded without a hitch- took a very short time. The second one, which I downloaded last night/this morning, took 10 hours to download. Did the new update have that much new information on it, or was it just a fluke?

Thanks

Good read. I've been trying to sort these out on my new iPhone 4s.

Two things about Motion X GPS Drive

(1) after you select a destination, you can have it PRE LOAD the maps for that trip; that way you won't suffer if you have any cellular drops along the way, and you can also do this at home via WiFi if you don't want to use up any cellular data -- you can get to this by (a) selecting your destination, but BEFORE hitting navigate, hit "Nav Choices" -- wherein you should find the button for pre-load maps -- it can keep up to 2GB worth of maps in cache, which should be PLENTY for any trip

(2) Does Motion X GPS have ANY kind of lane assist feature? I've been using it a little in a metro area (I-95 around NYC) and don't recall ever seeing any kind of lane assist going on.

I use on a daily basis:
One large screen laptop at the office.
One Laptop at home.
One Netbook
Recently, an Ipad.
Have been using computers since the Commodore 64. A portable since the Tandy Model 100.

The Ipad is very useful, and for more than simply entertainment like streaming video. It is my carry everywhere, spur of the momment device, which the netbooks had been. Its on screen keyboard actually works.
But, if i am going to work on something for awhile, i still use the netbook. Mine has a full size keyboard etc. (A heavily modified version of Toshiba's first Netbook).

Now;
If my Ipad had:
Serious Storage
A standard USB prot or two
Was not Flash crippled
Could easily hook up to a projector for doing presentations
I would store the netbook.
What I actually would like to see, is a multitasking, high storage yadda yadda version of the Ipad i mention above, with a really big screen, ie. a desktop replacement model.
